The MSA 70 C-BQ is a lightweight, battery-powered chain saw with impressive cutting performance - ideal for stocking up on firewood, or general property maintenance.

It's quiet, so there's no need to wear ear defenders and simple to use - just pop the battery in and go! It features plenty of innovative STIHL technology, such as Quick Chain Tensioning, so you can tighten the chain without tools and the Ematic™ chain lubrication system which uses up to 50% less chain oil.

A fully-charged AK 30 battery will give you around 180 cuts in 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm) timber.

You can easily check the level of chain oil in your chain saw with the transparent oil tank on the side of the machine.

Quickstop® super chain brake (Q)

Another great feature designed by STIHL, the additional braking system in the chain saw helps protect you - the chain stops running either when the front hand guard is switched on or when you release the rear handle.

A: To fully charge the recommended AK 30 battery using the AL 101 charger, it takes 205 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 160 minutes.

A: The tool is powered by a 36 V lithium-ion battery.

A: Yes, they are interchangeable with other tools in the AK System. They are not interchangeable with the AP System tools.

Tips

#1 Cleaning your MSA 70 C-BQ

When you have finished using your chain saw, remove the battery and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Don't forget to wear gloves when doing any maintenance on the tool.
